What's Behind SHY GUY's mask? Shy or hiding something? Everyone loves Shy Guy. He flies, loves red, kills Mario, wears a mask. He's pretty much everyone's beloved serial killer. But there's one question that bugged everyone sibce SMB2: What's behind Shy Guy's mask? Unfortunately, we haven't seen him take off his mask. WAIT! Yes we have. In Luigi's Mansion, Luigi can suck off their masks, revealing their "faces," though all you see is their eyes, The theory is solved... IF you forgot that this is Luigi's Mansion. The Shy Guys on that game are ghosts, and all of the ghosts have yellow eyes, so this has to be ruled out. There's only one other time where his mask came off... ...in Mario Tennis. When Shy Guy comes up to accept his trophy, he trips on a stair and his mask slips off, leaving his face exposed and Luigi shocked at what he sees. Then he puts his mask back on and claims his trophy without us ever seeing his face. That means Luigi is the sole witness of what is within a Shy Guy's mask. Unless he comes to life and tells us what he saw, there's no way we'll find out. It's also important to say that on Mario Strikers Charged, when Shy Guy scores a point, he makes faces at the screen... WITH HIS MASK! Does that mean his mask IS his face?! But if it is, what did Luigi see? His muscles? His brain?! Once again, it all relies on Luigi.
